Hippolyta's WeddingHippolyta’s Wedding: A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare

Hippolyta must marry Theseus, and she’s not particularly happy about it. On the day of the wedding rehearsal, as the musicians and caterers work to prepare, an unusual wedding planner takes charge in an attempt to make the bride’s dreams come true. Magic and mayhem transport us to a hilarious dream world in this fun and fanciful interpretation of Shakespeare’s most beloved comedy.

Opening August 3rd, Hippolyta’s Wedding: A Midsummer Night’s Dream will play at The Village Tent, directed by Jeannette Lambermont-Morey featuring the full Festival Players acting company: Gabriella Albino, Geoffrey Armour, Neil Babcock, Bruce Dow, Alex Furber, Anna Hardwick, Luke Kimball, Philip Knox, Siobhan O’Malley, Connor Thompson and Dylan Trowbridge. Set and Lighting Design by John Thompson, Costume Design by Lindsay Reliena Forde. Stage Management by Susan D. Currie.

A fast-paced tragicomedy about a sleepy Irish County overrun by a Hollywood film crew, seen through the eyes of two local men employed as extras on the film. Cultures clash, egos reign, and fifteen minutes of fame comes at an enormous price. Stones in His Pockets is a hilarious and moving play, winner of the Olivier Award for Best Comedy.

Opening August 9th, Stones in His Pockets will perform at the Village Tent, directed by Bruce Dow and featuring Geoffrey Armour and Connor Thompson.

Mary's WeddingMary’s Wedding by Stephen Massicotte

On the eve of her wedding, Mary Chalmers dreams of Charlie, her first love. Set in Western Canada during the First World War, the story of Mary and Charlie’s romance unfolds through a series of dreamlike memories, punctuated by the innocence of new love, the courage of youth and the cruelty of fate.  Mary’s Wedding is a tender, poignant and unforgettable story by Trenton-born playwright Stephen Massicotte.

Opening August 15th, Mary’s Wedding will play at The Storefront, directed by Jeannette Lambermont-Morey and featuring Alex Furber and Siobhán O’Malley
