Festival Players of Prince Edward County is the region’s professional summer theatre company.
For more than 10 years, we have been bringing the beautiful landscapes, towns and villages of the County to life through the incredible power of theatre.
Founded in 2006 by John Burns, and led by Artistic Director Sarah Phillips from 2007-2016, Festival Players has produced and presented work by some of Canada’s finest theatre artists including world premieres of new works by Dave Carley (A Splinter in the Heart), and John Gray (Amelia: The Girl who Wanted to Fly). Productions have taken place in a century-old barn, under a tent in an estate vineyard, in a village church-turned-theatre, and on the beautiful properties of many of the County’s finest agricultural and hospitality businesses.
Festival Players recently announced that veteran actor, director and producer Graham Abbey will join the company as Incoming Artistic Director. Mr. Abbey will take on the full responsibilities of the Artistic Director position for the 2018 season. Click here for more information.
