In 2012, Festival Players of Prince Edward County celebrated our sixth season of bringing live, professional theatre to the County. With six amazing years under our belt, we can look back on our successes and forward to an exciting future; a future filled with stellar talent, superb productions and truly unique theatre experiences for residents and visitors to the County.

In the County, as with everywhere in Canada, ticket sales and FlexPasses cover only a small portion of the cost of producing professional theatre. It takes a great deal of resources to bring dozens of artsts from across Canada to join our local talent in Prince Edward County. Your support as a donor is essential to the existence and future of Festival Players.

Did you know that the true cost of a Festival Players ticket is over $100?

Through donations and partnerships with local businesses and government, we are able to keep all of our ticket prices under $30. Tickets are offered as low as $5 for a student. We work hard to ensure our shows are accessible to everyone in our community, and we look to our supporters to help us achieve that goal.

We are inviting you to play a big part in the future of Festival Players.

We hope you’ll consider making a gift to Festival Players, to help us offer more to our community now and in the future.

Harvest is the endearing and entertaining story of an older farm couple who retire, move to town and rent out their old farmhouse to someone who seems to be a ‘nice young man’. But things aren’t always what they seem.

A funny, fast-paced show that has won awards and praise across the country, Harvest, is based on the real-life experience of the playwright’s own parents. The play, deemed ‘comic gold’ by the Calgary Herald, is a witty and wise-cracking romp, sure to delight audiences.

Calgary’s Downstage Theatre tours to Prince Edward County, bringing us a darkly comic and highly physical take on the state of the west coast fisheries. Jack Travail needs a miracle. A dead zone threatens his livelihood, and just maybe a radical researcher can bring the ocean back to life… Simple, elegant storytelling, this award-winning production is a great show for all.
