2009 Festival of Trees a success!

Last weekend the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Auxillary held its annual Festival of Trees silent auction in an effort to raise funds for the Picton Memorial Hospital. The event was an overall success raising approximately $23,000 to buy new equipment for the hospital.

Christmas trees and about 140 donated items were up for bid for at least $5. Some of the items donated included furniture, paintings, cheques, and gift certificates.

Festival Players was thrilled to be able to take part in the Festival of Trees this year, donating a gift certificate for a pair of Flex Passes to our upcoming 2010 season. Along with the gift certificate we created a theatre maquette (a small scale model) of a scene from the holiday classic, The Nutcracker, seen in the below images.

Congratulations to the Auxillary for a job well done!
