Volunteer with Festival Players
In order for our season to run smoothly, we rely on wonderful, like-minded people from our vibrant community. Our volunteers share our passion for theatre and are committed to bringing an enjoyable, positive experience to our patrons.
There are many opportunities to volunteer with Festival Players – from Front of House positions to distributing promotional materials and even a little bit of handy work. No previous experience necessary! To show our appreciation, our volunteers also receive a number of benefits.

Front of House:
Taking tickets, greeting patrons, monitoring safety and comfort of audience during the performances, cleaning up audience areas after shows, providing patrons with audience surveys.
Giving tickets to patrons when they arrive at the theatre, processing simple box office transactions/sales (with the support of the front of house manager), soliciting e-newsletter sign ups, selling merchandise.
Bar Back (new this season)
Assisting staff with setting up and cleaning up the bar, taking orders/making sales, selling non-alcoholic beverages or food items.
*Note: this position does not involve serving/pouring/handling of alcohol
Festival Players Representative (for Regent Theatre shows only)
Representing Festival Players to the audience, soliciting e-newsletter sign ups, providing patrons with audience surveys, providing information about the current season, selling merchandise.
Other Volunteering Opportunities:
Wellington Farmers’ Market Helpers
Helping the staff person on site during the Market (Saturday’s from 8am – 1pm) by representing Festival Players, providing information about the current season, selling merchandise etc.

All volunteers are entitled to:
- Watch shows on shifts
- A non-alcoholic beverage during shifts
- Participate in a volunteer meet and greet (pre-season) and a volunteer appreciation (post-season)
Volunteer for 3 or more shifts this season and you will be entitled to:
- A Festival Players Volunteer T-Shirt
- Two “Admit One” vouchers for our production of Blind Date
