• Heather Braaten

    ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

    Heather is an accomplished professional theatre director and playwright with special interests in musical theatre, new play development, large ensemble physical performance, theatre for young audiences and devised theatre. With a portfolio boasting over 50 productions across North America, Heather brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to her new role at County Stage.

    Heather has held key upper management roles in the performing arts sector from artistic director and company manager, to tour coordinator and producer. Most notably, she has served as the Artistic Director of The Stephenville Theatre Festival since 2017.

    Heather also extends her passion for the theatre to the next generations of performing artists as a director and instructor for post-secondary institutions including St. Lawrence College in Brockville and The Randolph Academy in Toronto. She actively contributed to Canada’s theatre community, representing Newfoundland and Labrador with the Professional Association of Canadian Theatre (PACT) and chairing professional development on the Board of Directors for the Association of Professional Theatre Newfoundland and Labrador (APTNL).

    Excited about her vibrant future with County Stage Company, Heather is grateful to the company’s Board of Directors for their ongoing commitment to live performance in The County, and she looks forward to sharing her enthusiasm and talents with the flourishing cultural landscape of Prince Edward County.

  • Kristen Leboeuf

    MANAGING DIRECTOR

    Kristen Leboeuf has been working with County Stage since 2017 when she began as one of our festival technicians. She was promoted to Production Manager in 2019, then Producer in 2021, and is now taking on the leading role of Managing Director.

    Kristen is a theatre creator and administrator based near Kingston, Ontario. She holds two degrees from Queen’s University, a BAH in Stage and Screen and a Masters in Arts Leadership, and attended the Banff Centre practicum program for Technical Direction.

  • Anjelica Scannura

    COMEDY FESTIVAL ARTISTIC ASSOCIATE

    Anjelica is the co-Artistic Director of Ritmo Flamenco, which has toured worldwide.  She’s taught at the Quinte Ballet School, Canadian Contemporary Dance Theater, and the National Ballet School of Canada. She’s performed with the TSO and Canadian Opera Company.

    As an actress, you’ve seen her in TIFF’s Manson My name is Evil, Disney’s Camp Rock, CTV’s Satisfaction, CW’s Reign, CBC’s Frankie Drake Mysteries, and Little Italy, on Amazon Prime. She’s the face of ZoomerMedia’s fitness channel, ONE TV Canada, where she has 3 critically-acclaimed series: Anjelica’s Dance Workout, Anjelica’s 22-Minute Workout and Anjelica’s Kettlebell Workout.

    A comedian, Anjelica has performed in the Burbank, Palm Springs, and Boston Comedy Festival.  Anjelica’s been a part of Prince Edward County’s thriving arts scene for years, and values her collaboration with County Stage.

  • Liz Mascarenhas

    FRONT OF HOUSE & CREW

    Liz is a local student, entering her final year of high school. She has been involved in community theatre, on stage and behind the scenes, since she was 9. The chance to work with County Stage is an amazing opportunity!

    When not at school or County Stage, Liz is generally found with a sketchbook in hands and headphones blasting. After graduation, she plans to pursue a degree in Visual Arts.

  • Vikki Anderson

    CO-CHAIR PACT RURAL CAUCUS

    Vikki is an award-winning director, designer, dramaturge and producer. Her work in the theatre, as the Artistic Director of DVxT Theatre and Theatrefront, explored social and political issues – with a resolve to direct, design and produce resonant works that are imaginative and transcendent.

    As the former Managing Director of County Stage, Vikki became the Co-Chair of the Rural Caucus, representing the concerns of rural theatres across Canada at the Professional Association of Canadian Theatres (PACT). She continues her link to County Stage in this role.
