  • Back of Hoards Station

    PAST EVENT

    Station Road Arts Collective

Elizabeth’s first trip to a year-round rural livestock auction was an attempt to rescue a newfound animal friend. The auction being cancelled that day provided a brief reprieve. She never expected that a vacant auction hall would transform into a spiralling rabbit hole, holding her captive while taking her into the depth of generational family trauma. Based on a true story.

  • Double Exposure

    PAST EVENT

    April 21 & 22, 2023 • 8:00pm

    Written by Eleanor Zichy
Performed by Eleanor Zichy & Fez Gielen

Double Exposure is a slice of an evening between two siblings in a rural short-term rental. Wayward Edie has invited Julien, her strait-laced brother, to be the subject of her photography project. But grievances that have built up since childhood are slowly coming into focus. On their last night, while hurling insults and dredging up the past, each will stop at nothing to prove who has ceded more, and who is just a bad seed.

  • Rosalia’s Piano

    PAST EVENT

    March 2 – 4, 2023
    Waring Hall, Picton

    Station Road Arts Collective
    Written by Conrad Beaubien

The past year offered hope of a resettled life for Rosalia and Ivan. Their tiny flat above John's Barber  Shop in Calumet Falls, Ontario, was made grand by an expanse of windows overlooking the slow-moving river.  Rosalia was a pianist, and Ivan was a second violinist in a  symphony orchestra in Eastern Europe. While Ivan’s violin was saved, Rosalia's piano was lost when war displaced the pair from their homeland. Can love and a search for a new piano restore their inner sanctuary?
